Let Justice Prevail

Friday the 2nd  of March is World Prayer Day and the Theme this year “Let Justice Prevail” was prepared by the Women of Malaysia. What are you doing to further justice where you are? Spare a thought for the oppressed, those who feel forgotten and sidelined by the corruption, selfishness and intolerance in society.

Let Justice Prevail

“The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.” Psalm 33:5 (N.I.V.)

Let Your Light Shine

Justice is fairness; moral rightness; conformity to truth, fact and sound reason; right to dignity and respect; right to equal opportunities and outcomes, and the full appreciation of the human condition.
The Lord commands justice and we have a Christian duty to push for it. Like the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, we need to be persistent in seeking for justice in the world. Let us not shut our eyes to voiceless victims of oppression and violence, victims of inequality and abuse, victims of unjust and biased cultural, religious and legal practices, and unrighteous dealings fueled by corruption and greed.
Everywhere there are people who are broken in body, mind and spirit and we need to take righteous action. . “And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18: 7-8.
Let us put our wishes for justice to the Lord in prayer
