You will not be consumed

“Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness". (Lamentations 3:22-23 N.I.V)

There are wounds that run deep, leaving you feeling violated and fearful. Thieves broke into a neighbor’s house and stole a lot of items including clothing, shoes, electronics and many personal items. They tied up those they found in the house and took many agonizing minutes while they ransacked the house. It takes time to recover when faced with such trauma, but no matter how bad the experience, there is still a lot to thank God for: they were not hurt and neighbors’ rallied behind them for prayers and support. Jehovah El Shaddai, the All Sufficient One and God Almighty protects, comforts, and strengthens us when we trust him and call upon him in times of adversity. He is our refuge and our very present help in times of trouble. Because of his great love, we are not consumed for his compassions never fail. We wake up better and better every morning full of his blessed peace and trusting in his restitution.
