Going Deeper Into Your Relationship With God

“When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish." (Luke 5:4 NLT)

Simon and his friends had been working hard all night but had not caught any fish. The Lord came by, telling them to put their nets in deeper waters and they would catch fish. When they obeyed they caught so many fish that their nets began to break.

Is your faith mature or are you fishing in shallow waters? Are you still directed by cultural expectations and made to feel either inadequate or proud of your achievements? What is your real purpose in life? Have you embraced your identity as a truly wonderful and valuable creation made to move beyond a superficial existence?  Passionately seek to know the will of God in your life. Commit every part of your life to him: allow God to work through every circumstance in your life. Live according to biblical principles and receive the abundance of the deep waters of faith in the Living God.
