The Most Direct Prayers

women praying

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven”. (Psalm 107:28-30  N.I.V)

According to Anne Lewis, “There are four ways God answers prayer: 1) No, not yet; 2) No, I love you too much; 3) Yes, I thought you'd never ask; 4) Yes, and here's more.”
God loves us very much and he makes everything work out for the good in those who have faith in him. We always need to show our gratitude for everything he makes possible in our lives. We do this through true worship of our Heavenly Father in everything we do both privately in our everyday lives and corporately in church and in other fellowships with others.

Prayer stills all our storms and hushes the waves in our lives. We praise God for the gladness and calm he gives us as he guides us to that desired haven. “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD”. Psalm 150:6

“Prayer is the human response to the perpetual outpouring of love by which God lays siege to every soul. When our reply to God is most direct of all, it is called adoration. Adoration is the spontaneous yearning of the heart to worship, honour, magnify, and bless God. We ask nothing but to cherish him. We seek nothing but his exaltation. We focus on nothing but his goodness”. Richard J. Foster
