Go with the Strength you have

Strength

"The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?" (Judges 6:14 NIV)

Gideon thought he was the weakest of the weak but he had gathered enough courage to thresh wheat, hidden from the eyes of the Midianites in a wine press. The Lord thought this was enough to lead his people against the Midianites. The Lord himself would be Gideon's strength and courage.

The world is in danger of God’s wrath. There is much oppression, corruption, strife and rejection of God’s word with everyone doing as they deem fit. God is looking for people of faith to stand in the gap so that the nations are not destroyed. "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none Ezekiel 22:30.

Stop thinking of yourself as unworthy. If you are available, the Lord can do great things through you. You do not need a college education, be particularly charismatic, or wealthy. His provision belies understanding and you can stand in the gap just as you are.

Pray that Lord help you to ensure that he is glorified in every small thing he has graciously given you to bless others.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.  Will Smith

Nothing humbles and breaks the heart of a sinner like mercy and love. Souls that converse much with sin and wrath, may be much terrified; but souls that converse much with grace and mercy, will be much humbled. Thomas Brooks
