Becoming a Strength for Others

“But Moses’ hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun”. (Exodus 17:12 ESV)

One of the lessons I learned from my mother is to consider the limitations of others. When I complained about the speed and orderliness of one of my sister’s she said, “She is working with what she has been given”. We have different gifts and talents whether at housekeeping, gardening or any other task at hand. We need to be patient with others. We do have limitations too. And it is better when we work as a team and not always aim to get the credit, and other people the blame. Stand in the gap, fight for them, pray for them, teach them.

“But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?” 1 John 3:17
