Spreading the good news that will bring joy for all the people

“After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child.” (Luke 2:17-18 N.L.T)

When they shepherds saw the angel, the glory of the Lord overwhelmed them and they were terrified. “But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. “Luke 2:10. And “When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them”. (Luke 2:17-18 N.I.V).

Unlike the wise men who gave their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, the Bible does not tell us whether the shepherds gave any gifts to the Baby Jesus. But the Bible tells us that after seeing and being told about the baby Jesus , they spread this knowledge to everyone, and therefore became the first people to preach about Christ, the new born child they had beheld with their own eyes.

This great joy about salvation is for sharing, for happiness shared is happiness multiplied.
