Glad and golden hours, come swiftly on the wing of an angel

Dove of Hope

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I, whom you have redeemed. (Psalm 71:23 N.I.V)

There is such joy in singing or listening to Christmas carols. It makes us forget our fears and troubles.  It feels like heaven coming down:  singing angels among shepherds as they tend their animals, wise men and the shining star, a baby in the manger. ”Around us all his glory shall display; saved by his love, incessant we will sing, eternal praise to heaven’s Almighty King".

“O ye beneath life’s crushing load, Whose forms are bending low, who toil along the climbing way, with painful steps and slow, Look up! for glad and golden hours, come swiftly on the wing; oh rest beside the weary road , and hear the angels sing!”

*****

"If trouble hearing angels' song with thine ears, try listening with thy heart". ~Terri Guillemets
