Worshiping God in Spirit

“For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24 N.I.V)

Since God is Spirit, he is everywhere and we can worship him anywhere. And our worship must be genuine and true. Genuine worship is when we let the Lord renew our minds so that we grow in holiness and our every action glorifies the Lord. “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”. (Romans 12:1-2 NIV)

What is it that is behind your worship? You cannot bribe or cheat God. He sees what is in your heart.” Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows”. (Galatians 6:7)
