Letting go in order to find peace

Goose on water

“For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, says the LORD that has mercy on you”. Isaiah 54:10 KJV

Clinging to the past is counterproductive: the people you have loved and lost, the mistakes you made, and the opportunities you missed; it is out of your hands – forever. Regrets do not change anything. Learn from the experience and grow, let it go and heal.

Trying to change other people or meeting all their needs is not possible. Do your best without being clingy or overprotective. Let other people be free to grow. The outcome is not in your hands, so let it go. Do not hold anything you have too close.

Put whatever you have to work: your youth, your health, your skills, your money. Everything you have today can be lost tomorrow: it all belongs to God. Control your thoughts and mind to fully trust in the Lord’s goodness and power despite all circumstances and be still. His peace covenant cannot be removed.  “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! “Isaiah 26:3 NLT
