When we worship God, is it this God or a little god of our imagination?
by Faith C

Kneeling

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

"In the year that king Uz-zi'ah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts".Isaiah 6: 1- 6

Friends, I want to walk into a Church where I will tremble at the Presence of God. One that I will remove my sandals and kneel and weep along with my brothers and sisters because of His awesome love for us and because He sent His only Son to die for us. I want to be in a Church that the worship team will be lowly and humble before a mighty God and worship Him the way He deserves.

O the sins we commit and bring others to commit by our wrong attitudes of worshiping the Living God. Would we dare to dance and clap in front of the God Isaiah saw? Would we dare to praise Jesus who hung on us bleeding for three hours in agony carrying our sins and with forgiveness on our lips, the way we do?

Our attitude is often full of irreverence. I too failed by joining others, so easy to be misled. God is touching me and shaking me up and I hope He does the same to you brother or sister in Christ. I believe God's judgment is ready to fall upon us and especially the Church if we do not mend our ways and treat Him the way we should.

Heaven is weeping and the angels sorrowful by our conduct. I pray that God's Spirit will touch each of us and show us the enormity of our offenses to Him.

"Speak O Holy Spirit of God and convict us all of our sins to the Mighty Godhead. Reveal O Holy One how we offend You in our Worship and other areas at Church and in our lives. Change us I pray in our Lord Jesus' Name amen."

"Lead us O Holy One. Guide us and bless us. Thank You amen"
