Opportunities for Missions

Healing of the man born blind

“As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.”  (John 9:1 N.I.V)

As we go about your daily activities, we meet a lot of people. Sometimes we notice that they have a problem but move on. In John 9, the Bible tells us about a man who had been born blind. Jesus saw him as he passed by. “As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth” John 9:1. The man neither knew Jesus nor asked for his help. But Jesus saw a window of opportunity to serve His Father and took it. Other people wondered whether he was being punished for his sins or those of his parents, Jesus saw a chance to glorify God.

Let us not be blind to the need of others.  They may be spiritually blind or have a problem we can help solve. It does not matter why they are in that situation; only that we fulfill our commission while we still have time. Sometimes our resources, our work, and professional capacity gives us access and reach to some people others may not have. Let us not waste these opportunities.
