Visitation Ministry

Sick man in hospital

“I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' Matthew 25:36 (NIV)

Jesus said that whoever takes care of the needy; the least of his brothers does it to him and the father will reward him. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. (Matthew 25:34).

We can affect a lot of healing just by visiting somebody who is sick, in prison or in need. They feel good and their faith and hope is rekindled when they are allowed to speak about their situation, receive a gift no matter how small or when they are prayed for. It encourages them to persist in their life struggles by reminding them that they are valued members of society and that somebody cares. No matter how busy we are, we need to make time for others who are suffering either physical or emotional pain. We need to do it out of our love for the Lord and the grace he has shown us.
