And the truth will be shouted from the housetops.

“Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!” Luke 12:3 (N.L.T)

A lot of people pretend to live virtuous lives while they are corrupt, immoral and decadent. Given a bit of time however people get to know their real nature. This is especially true of the famous and mighty. Their secret deals, illicit liaisons, and contrary opinions soon become newspaper headlines. In many cases this is the result of fallout between co – conspirators; as the Spanish Proverb says, “When thieves fall out the thefts come to light.” Information and communication technology has also made spying and leakage of secrets much easier. Little can stay hidden for long.

The truth always comes out to shame the hypocrites and other evil doers and to vindicate the good and honest. Jesus said, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32. When you live by the truth, through Jesus, you will have a free conscience and will be happy for your truth to be shouted from the mountaintops. You will resist evil passions, corrupt tendencies, and sycophantic views. If you do not live by the truth, you will not escape condemnation.
