Beautiful Soldiers of the Lord

“They charge like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers. They all march in line, not swerving from their course.” Joel 2:7 (N.I.V)

A warrior is one who is engaged in or experienced in battle. He engages aggressively and energetically in his cause. A soldier is well trained in tactics of battle. His work is to defend his country against attackers. A warrior or soldier has one purpose: to defeat the enemy. Warriors and soldiers always place their mission first. They never quit or accept defeat. They are disciplined, physically and mentally tough and well equipped with arms.

Are you a warrior or soldier for Christ? Do you really believe in his cause? Do you aggressively and energetically defend this cause without quitting or accepting defeat? Are you well trained in the tactics of war with the Lord’s enemies? Have you been fitted out with the necessary armor?

Have you known defeat? It is never final; you can dust yourself up and try again and with God’s help you will overcome. “With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:29. Do not defeat yourself by running away or not arming yourself adequately. Charge without fear and scale the steepest blockades. It is the only way to win the battle for the cause of Christ.
