Jesus’ Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem

A Colt

The gentle and humble Savior Jesus Christ rides into our hearts proclaiming his Kingdom. He does not come riding a horse to wage war on us, but a gentle colt to secure our way to gain peace with God.  Have you spread your cloak on the road to your heart, and cut branches from the trees to hail him and shout, “Hosanna in the highest”.

Note that the first thing that Jesus did when he entered Jerusalem was to clear the temple of commercial activities that had usurped the use of the Lord’s temple as a house of prayer. Is your heart clean for the Lord? Search carefully so that whatever is in there that interferes with the true worship of the Lord is routed out and sing Hosanna in welcome to the Lord in your heart.
