God's Perfect Teachings  Make People Free

“However, the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget; they actually do what God's teachings say.” James 1:25 (GODS WORD)

The law acts by enforcing rules and regulations. God’s Word acts by changing the inside of people so that they are free of their sins and worldly desires. Observance of the Law is driven by fear of punishment while God’s word hinges on the love of God and truth.  John 8:32 says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

And what is the truth? According to Philippians 4:8 it is , “…, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--anything that is excellent or praiseworthy.” These are the things we should think about. There is no coercion in God’s Word. Actions are based on sense of duty, love for others and a pure conscience. And the punishment for not following God’s word is based on God’s judgment which looks into all our acts, motives and thinking and not what we are caught doing.
