Go with the strength you have

A man exercising his muscular arm

Not by Your Strength or Might

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20.(N.L.T.)

Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman led her to  believe in him. She received the Living Water. Thereafter, this home breaker brought many to the Lord by proclaiming, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” John 4:29. She started using her persuasive powers for Christ instead of leading others astray.

Jesus left his Ministry in the hands of eleven simple, fearful men. However they surprised many with their eloquence after they received the Holy Spirit. “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13

Paul, once a  persecutor and murderer of Christians  is credited as one of the greatest contributors to the spread of Christianity. Paul said,” My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20.  What is your failing or weakness? Christ overcomes and forgives all.

The foundation of the church is the grace and power of God. Arise. You are not perfect, but you have unique physical, mental and spiritual gifts that God wants to use. Your social or economic status does not matter, nor does your gender, age or your past mistakes. God uses the foundation of faith in believers for the Great Commission. He uses the Christ in them to do his work. We have no power of our own but God perfects his Word from imperfect people in those that receive it. Like rain, God’s word is never in vain. As we read in  Isaiah 55:11 “ … It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love. ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
