Let Go of Your Guilty Feelings

Feelings of Guilt

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. “John 3:17 (N.I.V)

What are you guilty of? Have you like the “sinful woman” been caught red handed or are you like her accusers who were afraid that their sinful actions would come out into the open?  (Maybe their sins were what Jesus was busy writing on the ground as he waited for those who believed they were without sin to condemn the woman).

Christ’s door is still open for forgiveness if you repent. He is saying today, "… where are they? Has no one condemned you? Then neither do I condemn you, Go now and leave your life of sin.” (John 8:10-11).

No matter how grave the sin you have committed, God forgives. But you need to take advantage of his loving grace today because soon Jesus will come as a judge and it will be too late.

After you have received forgiveness you need to start a new life without guilt. You should not keep on rehashing your sins and living in shame.  You need to go forward confidently in Christ because your sins have been purged and your conscience should therefore be clear. Looking back will keep you away from an intimate relationship with God. . Guilt destroys faith. Let go of the guilt just as Paul, who had participated in persecuting, Christians got rid of his.

"If God has saved you out of a sewer, don’t dive back in and swim around.”
