The Face of the Antichrist

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,” 2 Thessalonians 2:9

Do you often wonder what Satan looks like? Many people imagine him as an ugly repulsive creature with seven heads and ten horns; one that you would avoid at all costs. And that is what he is; a beast – on the inside. But on the surface, how he actually appears is as an attractive person who has power to do amazing things; miracles, signs and wonders, and convince you that he is your Savior. Satan appears righteous but he is deceitful. He has power to lead you to himself and destroy you.

This is the same face for the lawless one: the antichrist or Satan’s representative. It is said that Hitler’s speeches were powerful and everybody listening was overwhelmed. His people were taken in and easily found themselves shouting,”Heil Hitler!” The anti Christ comes with great sounding ideologies like freedom, prosperity, and equality for everyone. Everybody follows such a person who has brilliant solutions to the world’s problems. However, it all ends in a lot of bloodshed with any fruits being enjoyed by just a few.

The devil can take any form, and can be any person: great evil exists in the minds and hearts of people.  However, we should not be alarmed, for those with the indwelling Holy Spirit can see through the devil’s exterior and resist his temptation. Stick with Jesus and His truths and you will be saved.
