The El Shaddai Assurance Thorn on the side "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me". (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV) The character of God represented by El Shaddai portrays Him as an all powerful and mighty God who is sufficient for us. We do not have to depend on other people or our own strength. When we trust Him, His grace will rest on us. Paul had a “thorn” which could have slowed or prevented him from effectively carrying out his ministry. But he realized that he did not have to depend on his own energy. His faith in God became his strength, shield and defender which were strongest when he completely yielded to Him. He understood the frailty of his strength and limits of his wisdom. Let us therefore let go and let God. He is able to support us make it, no matter the nature or enormity of our troubles. ***** "Where the will of God leads you, the grace of God will keep you".
