Diligent Planning

By Wangari Murathe

A house that came due to weak foundation

“The plans of the diligent lead to profit, as surely as haste leads to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5 (N.I.V)

Some people go into various undertakings without due preparation.

A lot of planning is needed before getting into any venture, and decisions should not be taken hurriedly or on the spur of a moment. This includes business ventures and even Ministry. You should gather as much information as possible before making a decision and not get into anything just because others are. You need to consider the resources you have and the ability to bring the venture into fruition. People have different talents and gifts.

The right venture is one you have a passion for so that you will be able to persevere through the required consistent hard work required. Nothing is easy and discouragement will come at various stages. You must have a vision of what you intend to accomplish to act as your motivation.

No matter what venture you get into, you must consider other aspects of your life; your physical health, your finances, your social life and your spiritual life. You should not only live on the premise of your vision and its accomplishment which may be long in coming, but live each day fully and responsibly. And in everything, it is important to pray and allow God to lead your every step

"Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit.  Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset". St Francis de Sales
