Like Grasshoppers

“We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them." Numbers 13:33(NIV)

Sometimes we are faced with very difficult situations and are tempted to give up. But just think, what does your despairing spirit say about your faith?

When the people of Israel approached the Promised Land, Moses sent out twelve spies who reported that while the land was flowing with milk and honey, there were gigantic men living there. Ten of the spies convinced the people that it was impossible to defeat the Nephilim whose size made them feel like grasshoppers. Only Joshua and Caleb reacted with hope; remembering all the seemingly impossible situations God’s miracles had saved them from. God’s protection was always with them, and they did not need to fear any giants. The people’s doubt angered God and he decreed that nobody who had seen his glory and miraculous signs and still doubted him would enter the Promised Land.

Do you doubt God’s power to deal with your Nephilims? God’s protection is always with us. He has the full command of everything and every situation.
