Quietly Waiting

"It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord" (Lamentations 3:26 KJV).

Are you going through many hardships? Do not become bitter and lose hope. Seek the Lord and place your hope in him. To hope for something is to desire it with enough confidence of a positive outcome.

To know for certain that the Lord will act for us removes fear and despair. We are not overwhelmed, and stressed about our situation and become healthier and happier, more understanding about life and others, and more capable of making better decisions.

Hardships undergone build character, and as the writer says in verse 27, “It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young”. This is because if the young learn to be patient, humble, compassionate, and wise, their life will be more serious and meaningful;  recognizing what is of lasting value and pursuing it, instead of falling under the allure of fleeting passions and trends. Nobody is ever too old to learn; therefore we all need to keep struggling through life’s problems waiting patiently for God’s plans to be revealed to us.

We need to place our hope in the promise the Lord has a good plan for our future and wait patiently for his timing and his considered method of execution.
