GOD EQUIPS YOU

“Then the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?”

“A staff,” he replied.” (Exodus 4:2 N.I.V)

Moses felt inadequate to lead the people of Israel but God showed him that He would use whatever Moses already had. This was symbolized by the shepherd’s rod in his hand. God would give him power to lead the people of Israel. His staff would subsequently become The Rod of God; His Banner. It represented God’s Power, His saving grace and all the attributes of God. Whenever it was raised, miracles happened and all powers of evil were defeated.

What do you have in your hand? However little your resources, your knowledge, your wisdom or even little faith the size of a mustard seed, together with the Lord’s power it makes a winning combination.

Jesus is our staff today. If we have him at hand, nothing has the power to defeat us.

"May he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen." Hebrews 13:21, NLT
