LIKE EAGLES “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah: 40:31 NIV

Are you feeling weary and worn out by failure, sickness or other tragedies? If you depend on your own strength and resources, you will ultimately be overwhelmed and disappointed.

Waiting upon the Lord has been likened to the nature of an eagle. It has great vision and flies alone at high altitudes. It rides on the winds that bring the storm to lift it above the storm. And every so often like other birds, it sheds and renews its feathers to keep it flying strong.

Similarly we should look up to heaven and not our world for our hope and help. Let us rest on the grace of our Lord. He will comfort us and give us the strength and wisdom to rise above the inevitable storms of life, and to greater heights of faith.
