As Working for the Lord   “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men” Colossians 3:23 NASB

Some people do their work grudgingly. This could be because they do it just for the money. Others do it because they could not get something more pleasant or in line with their qualifications, while others do it to fulfill societal expectations. Many find it difficult to submit to their bosses or those they are expected to serve.

God wants us to meet our responsibilities with love, joy and passion. This is irrespective of the prestige our job gives us, the financial package it offers, or the consideration and appreciation from those we serve.

Our Christian duty is to love, obey, or serve others as required. In everything we do, we need to realize that God is fully aware of our position and willingly submit to his will. Submission brings peace, and the Lord’s blessings. And in everything we should consider the spiritual blessings we receive as infinitely higher and desirable, compared to rewards we receive in this world. What matters is how God evaluates us and not other people.
