If You Pray Don't Worry, If You Worry Don't Pray

By Irma Green

Do not worry

"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord". (James 1:6-7 N.I.V)

Let me ask you - what is the point of praying if you are going to continue to worry about what you have prayed about. Do you for one moment think God is going to honor that prayer? I will be bold and answer that for Him. OF COURSE NOT!! God only answers prayers of "faith". And when we pray in faith we will not worry, because we know without a doubt that we have the petitions we have prayer for.

Scripture tells us "be anxious for nothing." That is a "command" from God. It is not a suggestion. God doesn't come to us and say, "yes, I know why you are worried, I know how it is; I understand you are going through hard times because of the economy. I know you are worried because you have family problems, financial problems. NO, absolutely not, He does not say any of that - He commands us "be anxious for nothing", He commands us to "take no thought."

IF YOU PRAY DON'T WORRY - IF YOU WORRY DON'T PRAY!! You might think that, that statement is unrealistic, and if you think that, then James 1:6,7 is also unrealistic for it says, "But let him ask in faith with no doubting. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord."

This Scripture tells us clearly that, if we have a doubtful mind, we will not receive anything from the Lord. And if we worry that means we have a doubtful mind. If we worry, that's telling God we doubt that we will receive an answer from our prayer.

I tell you today "STOP WORRYING"! If you are worrying you are not trusting; and if you are trusting, you are not worrying!! You cannot worry and trust God at the same time - you are doing one or the other. You cannot do both at the same time.

So: "IF YOU PRAY DON'T WORRY AND IF YOU WORRY DON'T PRAY!! "

Cool"I keep the telephone of my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love and abundance.  Then, whenever doubt, anxiety or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal - and soon they'll forget my number".  ~Edith Armstrong
