Gathering Strength from Distress

Stressed

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3

Jeremiah was in prison where his spirits must have been so low that he; a prophet had to be reminded to call upon God. Whatever your prison: physical sickness or infirmity, emotional or social issues, God is in that prison with you. In fact, He has made your prison into a sanctuary where he can be worshiped. He has easier access of you in this sanctuary. Accept his will in your situation and work with Him. Do not stay in a suspended, immobilized state. Make a resolve to listen to the word of God.

What words did God tell Jeremiah? He said, (1) Call to me (2) I will answer you, and (3) I will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Do you have God’s number – it is P.R.A.Y.E.R. As Psalm 145:18 says “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth”.

Do not limit yourself to your own strength and wisdom. In your troubles and misfortunes, call on him. Claim your blessings and be restored to peace, truth, health and prosperity just like Israel was after their many years of exile in Babylon.

Cool“I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death”. Leonardo da Vinci
