Watching for the Fulfillment of God’s Word

"The LORD said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled."(Jeremiah 1:12 N.I.V)

Eye

One of the most painful things is to see a young person brought up in the church fall away as he or she tries to find their place in the world. This often happens when they finish high school and go on to college or to work.

We can just but watch and pray and give our best advice knowing sometimes it will not be taken, sometimes just because the advice comes from us.  It is comforting to know that in most cases they will return to Christ strengthened even though as often happens, marked by their adverse experiences of secularization.

It is also comforting to remember Proverbs 22:6,” Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.“ and Isaiah 55:10-11, As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it”.

Cool“May the alert and watchful eye of God guard them, may He that sleeps not and nods not guard them, may he that protects and is vigilant guard them!”
