When We Don't Know We Can Still Have God's Peace
By Sonja Burketh

Peace

“Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus". (Philippians 4:6, 7 Living Bible)

How can you be thankful about answers you don't know?
That's the question I asked.

I've since learned, not knowing is the key.

God's peace does not come in the knowing. It comes in our belief He knows and has the ability to provide. God's peace is directly connected with our trust in Him.

Each time we choose to pray, instead of worry, our faith grows stronger. In return we experience peace we can't explain nor understand.

Over time we come to love and desire this peace.
From this love and desire develops a sense of urgency, an urgency to discuss everything with God and worry about nothing.

Peace does not dwell in outward things, but within the soul; we may preserve it in the midst of the bitterest pain, if our will remains firm and submissive. Peace in this life springs from acquiescence to, not in an exemption from, suffering. Francois Fenelon
