DRIVE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD

“For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. Ephesians 2:10

One of the good works of the famous American football coach Vince Lombardi was the fight against racism. He said, “I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious”.

Good works are what we do in word and deed in the name of the Lord; for His Glory and not for selfish motives or because we are forced to. They include praying for others, attending church, caring for the needy and pressing for justice. In Matthew 5:16 we read, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven”. And the Bible also says in James 2:14-17, “ What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
