The Grace to Flourish

“But just as you abound in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you abound in this gracious work also “. (2 Corinthians 8:7 N.A.S.B)

We reveal who we really are to others by our words and deeds.  Work exposes our underlying character, motivations, skills, abilities, and personality traits. Let us work on a daily basis to glorify God. Let us pray:

for all the needs for today, for the strength to work faithfully and fruitfully, for the tenacity to defeat temptation and keep from any stain from sin, for the inspiration to be kind, compassionate and generous to all in word and deed, to say just the right words- deliberated upon, to let no unthinking idle word escape our lips; and to help others by all means possible.  Keep us, guide us, and hold us Lord. “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work”. 2 Corinthians 9:8 N.I.V
