Living a Victorious Life

Victory

“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” (1 John 4:4 N.L.T)

Leon Trotsky said, “Life is not an easy matter... You cannot live through it without falling into frustration and cynicism unless you have before you a great idea which raises you above personal misery, above weakness, above all kinds of perfidy and baseness.”

But which is this great idea that gives us hope, makes us strong and determined, and effective? It could only be the indwelling Spirit. He gives us comfort, understanding and guidance so that we have a strong unshakeable foundation. When the treachery and wickedness of others hurts us, we do not dwell in bitterness and despair because “the Spirit who lives in us is greater than the spirit who lives in the world”. We put our best foot forward knowing that we are conquerors and every step no matter how small is a victory over the feeling of helplessness that has built up in us.  And the memory of this success puts positive energy in us, making us feel worthy and capable. Let us simmer down and defeat our problems by laying them out to the Almighty God. We belong to him and he will fight for us.

“You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.” Ralph Marston
