Ten Thousand Reasons to Praise the Lord

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3 N.K.J.V)

Psalm 103 lists many reasons why we should sing praises to the Lord.

And in his song “Ten Thousand Reasons (Bless the Lord)” Matt Redman sings:

“You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find”

How many reasons have you found to praise and worship the name of the Lord?

According to Matt Redman’s bio, he believes in 'living boldly and shining brightly for the glory of God'. This motto is reflected in his songs and books.

As another of his song (Blessed be Your Name) goes, we should bless the Lord in the land that is plentiful, where God’s streams of abundance flow, when the sun's shining down, when the blessing are poured out, when the world is 'all as it should be'. But we should also bless the Lord in the desert place, through the wilderness, on the road marked with suffering, when there is pain in the offering, and when the darkness closes in. We should always choose to bless the name of the Lord through all seasons of life.
