Four men were flying on a small plane. A government minister, a renowned scientist, a boy scout and an elderly bishop who was also the pilot.

About an hour later, the plane developed problems and their only chance of survival was to jump. However, according to the pilot, there were only three parachutes.

“My work is very important to the people” said the government minister, and taking one of the parachutes jumped.

“I am a genius, and my country greatly needs my services” said the scientist, and picking a parachute jumped.

The elderly bishop told the Boy Scout, “Son, I am an old man and have lived my life. Take the other parachute and jump. And may God bless you.”

The Boy Scout said, “In his rush, the genius picked my back pack, and so there are still two parachutes left.”
