Keeping the Unity

Show of Unity

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4: 2-3 NIV)

All relationships, whether with God or our neighbor, take hard work to maintain or improve. But the efforts are worthwhile because of the resultant happiness and peace of mind.  Love, the greatest commandment, is also the most important ingredient to sustain relationships.

Love cannot thrive in an environment of selfishness, unforgiveness, jealousy, envy, hatred, unfaithfulness, pride, hatred, discord, and the like. In order to maintain it, we need to develop humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness and self control.  This is impossible to accomplish on our own strength. It is only in accepting Christ and his leadership that we can attain these qualities that preserve and enhance love; as fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Let us purpose to strive to be more united and peaceful with all: now, in the coming year, and in years to come.

We shall find peace. We shall hear angels. We shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.
